Isn’t it amazing? Fall is here and unlike the past week which was officially Autumn but has been hot and humid, the temperature and leaves (and football season now in full swing) are following suit.
Of course, with Fall comes VAR’s annual convention. As a staff member, I’m still surprised at what comes together to make this such a smooth event. Credit it to our Professional Development team. They know what works and change what doesn’t. And this year, not unlike other years, they and their advocacy groups have put together a conference that has something for everyone. Moreover, with a central location like Williamsburg, everyone can attend and take advantage of the courses, events and gatherings.
One event in particular that has something for everyone? Come to the Trade Expo Opening on Tuesday night in the Virginia Room.

If you have any questions, stop by the registration desk and ask. While you are there, make sure to introduce yourself. Meeting so many lovely people is one of the perks of this job. Plus, it’s always nice to be able to put a face with a name.
Summer’s my favorite season and I’m grieving the end of it, but I’ve got the mums out on my front porch, I’ve had the pumpkin pie candles providing aromatic delight in the living room (again, with football on the tv), and we’re here at the convention in beautiful Colonial Williamsburg.
Turns out, I’m feeling pretty good about the Fall.
